Project Impact

Marc Spiegel will enchant, inspire and delight teachers and students with his unique presentation of imaginative storytelling, audience participation, poetry and even a song or two.

Marc dramatically performs his original tales, as he explains how story ideas are developed. He also offers a multicultural repertoire of traditional folktales including the oldest story ever written: the ancient epic of Gilgamesh.

Programs are age-appropriate with substantial audience participation.

The presentation of how story ideas are found can provide teachers with a useful framework for their own creative writing curriculum.

This program is also excellent for book fairs, library programs and other literature or creative writing theme days.

Grades K-3 and 4-6

The Solid Brass Quartet & Percussion Ensemble presents a musical view of the history and folklore associated with the men who have led this country. 

From their important decisions, speeches, and hobbies,  Solid Brass takes a fresh look at those who have shaped our nation’s destiny.  This is a PowerPoint/multimedia presentation.

Solid Brass presents an introduction to the history and famous people of New Jersey in a delightfully new and refreshing way - an adventure into the broad scope of the brass quartet’s repertoire of lively marches, jazz, rock, movie themes, and patriotic tunes.

The musicians illustrate the state’s early history from the Lenni Lenape and the American Revolution to current-day sports and science.

A review of the trumpet, trombone, tuba and horn will include a description of sound production. Various percussion instruments will be presented for the richness in color they provide musically.

Historic perspectives of the composers and society are incorporated into the performance to enhance student understanding. Students are kept involved through an interesting PowerPoint production and interactive presentation.
