The Little Red Hen & The Three Bears

An Introduction to Opera

Opera Singer Yvette Lewis uses two well-known fairy tales to introduce pre-school and kindergarten audiences to opera.

Each fairy tale has its own original score.  Students sing, act, and play instruments during this interactive presentation. Fast paced and fun, this program holds the attention of a young audience. They are captivated by Yvette’s voice, expressions and music.

The program provides an early introduction to a “singing story” and becomes a springboard to future operatic studies.

The Magic Of Energy: Going Green

Kermit said, “It’s not easy being green,” but Lisa Lou and Miz Liz show you how important it is - and how it can be done - in this magical, exciting, fast paced show!

Students learn about the many types of energy, from non-renewable fossil fuels to cleaner, renewable energy sources such as: Geothermal; Wind; Solar; and Hydro.

Using magic and circus skills, Lisa and Liz will demonstrate and explain what energy is, why we must limit our use of fossil fuels, and how we can do this by harnessing the four elements - Earth, Wind, Fire & Water.

This program touches on the challenges and rewards of seeking alternative fuel sources, and encourages students to do their part in using energy wisely. Audiences will have so much fun watching this very interactive program - they won’t even realize how much they are learning.

The Next Step

Scot Cannon’s Pantomime Musical for Junior & Senior High

With lyrics, movement, guitar and an original musical score, Scot presents the story of a high school student about to make decisions he feels will influence the rest of his life. Will he pass his audition and go to music school, work for his father's business or quit school and play with his band?

For a junior high audience Scot talks about how to plan for a successful high school career, how to find and use your talents and what to do with those career dreams.

For a high school show Scot discusses how to use dreams, reality, success and failure to prepare for the future.

The Next Step emphasizes motivation, patience and the willingness to take risks to grow and learn.
