In this workshop students are introduced to the impressionistic effect that can be created using every color on the palette. Artist Kevin Brooks explains and demonstrates the technique of this quick, spontaneous method of painting which teaches how pure direct color is applied for a brilliant effect. Students also learn that this historic style was made famous by such artists as Renoir, Monet, and Pissarro.
|Introduction To Theatre Through Improv/Drama|
Through pantomime, theatre games, poetry, and storytelling, children are led into the world of fantasy and imagination. Perception, creativity, and thinking skills are encouraged during this interactive session.
For older students, the workshop can concentrate on an introduction to the methods professional actors use in rehearsal. Emphasis is placed on improvisation, communication skills, concentration, and character development.
